Upcoming Classes for 2020...

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Classes are held in a private studio in the Seabrook, Texas area. 

  • All pictures serve as examples; you can create your own design. 

  • Dates/times/classes are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.  Anyone affected by this will be given the opportunity to take the class at a later date, or receive a full refund.

  • If you see a class you're interested in but can't make the date, let me know.  I may be able to schedule another class.

  • The full amount is required to hold your spot.  If that's an issue please contact me and we'll work something out.

  • I take cash, checks, credit cards and big diamonds!  

  • No show = no refund

  • Written cancellations (email) = credit for future class w/in 12 months

MOSAICS 101... THE BASICS - $80

This class is just what it sounds like... a beginner’s class. Or a refresher class. It is a hands-on class that provides a basic understanding and the skills for creating beautiful mosaics for your home. In this class you will make a mosaic mirror, a cross, or a heart (all projects are approx. 10”-12”). We will go over the basic tools and techniques needed to create a mosaic, as well as many tips I’ve learned along the way. Learning how to cut and nip the glass will be part of the instructions.  No art or mosaic experience is required!  Still have questions or ready to register?  Shoot me an email.

MOSAIC HOUSE NUMBER - $125

Back by popular demand… you’ll be the envy of the neighborhood with this beauty!!  This class will walk you through making a one-of-a-kind house number mosaic for the exterior of your home.  As such, you’ll learn some tips and techniques for doing an outdoor mosaic.  Your substrate will be approximately 10” x 20” and will be equipped to hang on an exterior wall (vertically or horizontally).  Basic mosaic experience is required (see our Mosaics 101 class for the basics).  Still have questions or ready to register?  Shoot me an email.

3D MOSAICS (FLOWER POT) - $55

Come create a colorful flower pot (6”) that suits the unique style of your garden.  No garden?  They also make great utensil holders for your kitchen!  This class will walk you through many tips and techniques for doing an outdoor mosaic.  Basic mosaic experience is required (see our Mosaics 101 class for the basics).  Still have questions?  Shoot me an email.

 

Sunday, March 29th from 1 - 5pm                                          

MOSAIC BIRDHOUSE - $75

Birds of a feather may flock together, but a bird with this home will never roam! This class is different from the basic class in that you will learn some tips and techniques for doing an outdoor mosaic. This project will also incorporate a different type of grouting. It is a hands-on class that provides a basic understanding and the skills for creating beautiful outdoor mosaics. This mosaic birdhouse project is approx. 6” - 7”. There will be no glass cutting in this class, as we’ll be using rocks, marbles, and even pinecones!   No art or mosaic experience is required!  Still have questions?  Shoot me an email.

Sunday, April 5th from 1 - 5pm                                                      

MOSAIC SEASHELL MIRROR - $99

Using natural elements of the sea, you will make a beautiful seashell mosaic mirror (10" x 10").  You'll receive shells, pearls and sea glass to create your very own masterpiece. Learn what makes natural element mosaics so different from traditional mosaics.  No art or mosaic experience is required!

Thursday, April 16th from 9am - 1pm                                                      

7 METHODS FOR TRANSFERRING YOUR DESIGN - $95

In this informative class you will see a demo of seven different methods for transferring a mosaic design onto a substrate.  Immediately following the demos, you will use one of the seven methods to create your small take-home project.  Basic mosaic experience is required (see our Mosaics 101 class for the basics).

 

Tuesday, May 12th from 9am - 1pm                                                      

MOSAIC POWER TOOLS - $125

You’ll be learning how to cut out substrates with a JIGSAW, cut a mug in half with a TILE SAW, shape glass with a BAND SAW and RING SAW and smooth rough edges with a GRINDER. Small take-home project included.  This is for the student that is looking to advance their skills and possibly buy more tools.  Basic mosaic experience is required (see our Mosaics 101 class for the basics).
